How many guests can The Shop hold?+
Our indoor space holds up to 150 guests and our outdoor space holds up to 500. Planning something bigger than 500? Email events@theshoptpa.com and we'll build a custom plan for you.
How much does it cost to rent The Shop?+
Indoor is $250/hour Monday–Thursday and $300/hour Friday–Sunday. Adding the outdoor space is +$100/hour any day (so $350/hour weekdays and $400/hour weekends for indoor + outdoor). There's a 2-hour minimum, and the live quote on our booking page shows the full breakdown before you pay.
What's required to lock in my date?+
A 50% deposit confirms your date. The remaining balance is due before your event. Our cancellation policy is simple: if you cancel within 5 days of booking, you'll receive a full refund of your deposit. After that 5-day window the deposit is non-refundable — see your booking confirmation for the full details.
Do you offer bar service?+
Yes — and our team staffs it for you. Both bar options (beer, wine, and hard seltzer) come with our own professional, licensed bartenders included; you don't hire or bring your own. Our open bar is billed per guest ($15 for events up to 4 hours, $25 over 4 hours) and we cover the tab. Our cash bar lets guests pay per drink with a $500 minimum guarantee, where you only cover the difference if total bar sales come in under $500. Because we hold the license and provide the staff, alcohol is served through one of our packages rather than brought in. You can add either right on the booking page.
Is there a games package?+
There is. For a flat $200, your event gets whole-event access to a variety of board games and a foosball table. Add it during booking.
Can I bring my own food and caterer?+
Yes. The Shop is a flexible venue — bring your own caterer, food, and cake, and we welcome food trucks (we'll arrange on-site parking and access). Alcohol is served through one of our bar packages (open or cash) rather than brought in. Reach out if you'd like vendor recommendations.
Is there parking?+
Yes — free on-site parking in a large private lot at 4813 N Grady Ave, just minutes from Tampa International Airport.
Do you have A/V, and is it family friendly?+
Every booking includes complimentary access to our in-house A/V system and a microphone. The venue is family friendly — children are always welcome. The outdoor grounds use all-weather turf with real drainage, and the indoor space is always available as a weather backup.

Wasn't this Two Shepherds Taproom?+
It was! The Shop is the next chapter for the same beloved Tampa location. The 14,000+ sq ft space that hosted thousands of guests as a dog bar is now a dedicated event venue.
